Power and Control is not needed.. 
U have to be consistently TYCO and string strikes and spare werid
splits, piss ur opponent off and he starts missing then u will win!
Bowling is 99.99% luck and 0.01% skill, so wad if u got loads of
brand new equipment, tat shows u have poor financial control,
training 3-4 times a week until u can bowl with ur left foot and
then lose to a kid with a house ball and house shoes, tat is REAL
skill.
Daryl and Tom, i have seen u guys bowl and yes, u guys are well
versed in the styles u are in, so no need to even talk about each
other cos one spinner and one is hook! Totally diff school of play,
even within ur own types, there are many diff tots on how to bowl
and wad is the proper way.
Paeng was a poor kid, he bowled on lanes he built with his dad with
a mattress as a cushion and he still went on to kick ass in the
international zone, so who cares wad layers of oiliing or even PBA
or not. Age is not a issue either and neither is style, look at
jack wong, his roll is weird and he is old but he still doing good.
All it takes is a LOVE for the sport and friends to enjoy the game
with.
End of the day, a cock up bowler can kick a pro's ass on a good
