bmx_rider SG i juz view the latest version of the mighty minds street directory and i saw SSDC u/c at woodlands(near industrial area)..i thought it maybe woodlands driving centre in the future(stated in 2007 edition)..but it may replace the one at ang mo kio(SSDC)..
bmx_rider SG sorry man..i don noe yet..now only start construction..so may be 2 years time..or more or less..
paperx SG the driving centre at woodland is under construction already.. from wat i heard the building is up.. still renovating i tink.. shld be up next year end.. and its not just SSDC that is moving.. its all driving centres are moving to woodlands.. means future singapore only have 1 driving centre at the north.. heard the place is quite big and 5 storeys high... just like a multi-storey carpark.. but not parking lots.. is the circuit...
SBS9818A SG SSDC is moving to Woodlands by end 2008. Current site at AMK is being returned to Government. As for BBDC I’m not too sure, SSDC and BBDC are actually owned by the same people..
TheDream SG Which part of Woodlands, anyone knows? Alamak,... can expect a lot of "L" plates here liao,...
105090 SG some very ulu part near industrial areas i think... definitely not near the town centre.. anyway, BBDC still has more than 10 years of leasde on the land. CDC has 1 more year than SSDC, which is about 4-5 years? the news also said that SSDC bid S$10 million for the 30 year plot
paperx SG from wat i know.. the place is along admiralty road and woodland road.. at the industrial area.. its a open field thou...
Novawin SG You can see the news from http://www.ura.gov.sg/pr/text/pr05-67.html SSDC's Woodlands building is too near to BBDC in terms of location whereas CDC is in Ubi serving learner driver living in East. But for those living in North and North-East will have to spend alot of time travelling to SSDC Woodlands for driving/riding learning. I think it is quite troublesome.
TheDream SG alamk... not that ulu if u stay in Woodlands or Sembawang,... I take that route if I go to Woodlands from Sembawang,... it's near Republic Poly,... some more their test routes will not be confined to the industrial park area mah,...
packjust SG The current SSDC site sucks anyway. Some parking lots make the car roll back and during test, the tester will mark something about car roll backwards. There are also so many vehicles there that each student spend so little time practising while WAITING for their turns. I think a Driving Instructor’s salary is not too difficult to come by.
djugashvili SG indeed...old-school design makes it not so conducive for learner drivers / riders...time for SSDC to move into modern world...
