I have just came back to Israel. Today is day 2. Don't mistaken,
I am Singaporean. Came here to work only.
Not everywhere of Israel is in Fighting state. The fighting is now
limited on the north & Gaza strip. As from yesterday till now I
have not heard any bombing in Israel side. I station in Ashkelon.
Of course there is danger, but not as what shown in News. Those
shown in News are limited to small areas.
Today Condoleezza Rice was here to talk talk (only). Don't think
cease fire will come soon. Lebanon have fired 80 rockets toward
Israel yesterday. Yesterday total 40 lebanon gun man & Israel 2
soldier & 2 pilot dead. I feel there will be fights if the
rocket did not end & Israel is using too much Force to supress
a small fire.
Back to main topic. Israel have this campaign of promoting Jews to
move into Israel. They provide immigrants with $, housing, ..... if
accepted. Do you know Israel pays something like SG$160 (NIS400)
per month for every child in the family under 12. Basic Education
is provided. Many goodies are use to attract Jews back. Like land,
faming equipments, Car, .... Here I have seen lots of Russian &
African. Now just Jews move here.
If Singapore would give Cash Money & Basic Education to kids, I
will want more kids myself.
I am not promoting for Israel. It's still take serious
considerations to immigrate here. Example, facing the different
habits & behaviour of locals here, slight Rocket threads,
higher standard of living .....
