Only Parallel importers have. Each car is indivisually numbered infront of the 6 spd manual gear box. It is available in only 3 colors… Honda Racing White with white wheels. Blue & Silver with dark silver colored wheels. Abt $105K with COE.

Euro one has quite unique design… but JDM one has more power… then again, it also depends on their weight… then can compare power to weight ratio…

JDM one damn cool… much effort have gone into it, changing it from Civic 1.8i to this Type R. The whole rear suspension of the 1.8i / 2.0i is ditched for new double wishbone multlink set up. It is developed at japanese & German Nurburing race track… It laps the circuit almost 4 sec faster than Integra Type R & close to 1sec of Honda NSX’s timing… this 4dr Civic Type R damn impressive… the 3dr Civic Euro Type R no fight leh… It might make 225bhp in Japan using 105 octane petrol… but Singapore only got 92, 95 & 98 Octane, it may make slight less bhp. Japan always come out with magazines entirely solely on a new car… I read one on this Civic Type R JDM… in Japan, it is claiming to be the fastest FWD car in the world… this i not sure… straight away i think of others like Ford Focus ST, Alfa Romeo 147 GTA, Mazda 3 MPS,, Renault Clio 197, Opel Corsa VXR…

In Japan, Mugen & Spoon version further modify this car for more performance… usually making it revs even higher than the redline of 8500rpm.

at 1270kgs, the JDM version is lighter than the UKDM model by almost a hundred kilos. this mostly due to weight savings from removing insulative material and replacement of components with lighter alternatives. if u compare the 2, u'll realize that the JDM one is pretty simple and purposefully built compared to the UKDM, which features all sorts of creature comforts u dun normally associate with a true bred type R.

must say that the new R took all the good things on the DC5R, and made it even better. heck, they even threw in 2 more doors! first time R owners might find the suspension too harsh for road use, but for me, i'd settle for nothing less bouncy Laughing
