somehow I think that the witness exaggerated stuff a bit. I'm sure it was over 100kmh. but I'm guessing it was more like 130 - 140 kmh, not the 160 kmh the witness claimed.

I'm sure in actual fact there were more witnesses, just that the rest were being typical local citizens... see see look look then drive away. That lone witness was probably the only one who was willing to take the time to tell the police and media on what happened. However i tend to agree that 160kmh is purely based on that woman's estimation.... as if she really knows how fast is 160kmh.

yeah... to be able to hit a lorry and cause it to flip... the impact must be damn huge. and also, look at the car's pic... so i guess it isn't anything slower than 120km/h... although for a stock vios to hit 160km/h... hmm... no wonder he can't steer back. its because the car is virtually "floating"...

I've seen pics of a stock vios cornering at quite a high speed before.. the rear inner tyre was off the ground... so can imagine how hard it would be to actually control the vios if it's doing anything above 140km/h...

i guess everyone forgot one thing.

basic physics. the two vehicles collided head-on. "looking at the picture" - that is the aftermath of the combined speed of both vehicles.

if the car hit a wall.. u can determine the speed of the car easily cause u noe the wall is 0 km/h.

however, it is not so easy in this instance. if let's say the car was travelling at 150kmh, and the lorry at 70kmh, then the combined impact speed would be 220kmh Shocked

I just heard about this incident from my teacher and he said this guy do not have the skill to handle a car in high speed and was just trying to show off only and my teacher could tell that the vios performance was upgraded but the guy did not upgrade the control system so the car could not be easily control at high speed and that guy dont even have basic technical stuff about cars so i think he deserve it

All of us here who drive surely would have sped above the limit before, let's admit this.

But going onto the opposite direction lane is mad. Yes I've done so to overtake a L-plate car, but never at such insane death-courting speed.
