You need to set your power plan setting not to dim the screen after a pre determined period. You can find the icon to access those settings on the bottom right hand side where the clock is, or through the control panel.

This farking idea is available on most laptops with a power management system. If you reckon its too farked up, get a desktop.

i wonder if its this particular laptop i have is faulty or its a general problem of windows 7.

but then i googled. there seem to be a lot of complaints about this issue. and there isnt any solution.
