i think we covered all the computer parts .i saw the cooler master elite 430 picture from the site inside got something called the V8 whats that sound cool also can you name the price for the gpu msi asus and palit cos i donno where to check the parts price thanks!

thesinz SG

so for the same gtx 460 msi is 30% more expansive then gtx460 from palit?

Overclocker™© SG

@kenn3th

@thesinz

The V8 is an aftermarket CPU cooler. It performs much better than then Intel stock cooler.

As for GPU, MSI - $289 / Asus - $269 / Palit $237. The MSI one is 20~30% much more expensive to Palit because of the cooler and lower noise fan. If you want a really cool and quiet case, go for the MSI one. if you're tight on budget, then go for the Palit one. And the Palit one is relatively smaller than the other manufacturer. But the size doesn't matter if you're using the Cooler Master Elite 460 case :)

thesinz SG

how about the middle priced one from asus isit good?

thesinz SG

er sorry to bother but there is 2 version one is gtx ti hawk? one is twin frozr ii

if i get the msi one will i be in budget? 1500~

Overclocker™© SG

Asus isn't bad either. Just that i find the MSI card cooler. The HAWK edition is the has higher clock than the Twin Frozr. Both uses the same. Go for the HAWK edition if you want MSI card.

Yes. You will be in budget.

e ICE SG

i built 1 with $350 without dvd

thesinz SG

thats all?

asus p8p67 pro intel p67 $158

i5-2500k $300

corsair xms3 4gb ddr3 ran $50

palit gtx560ti sonic $329

WD caviar black 500gb $55

asus dvd burner $25

cooler master elite 430 $80

win7 64bit $115

PS $100

did i miss anything?

Overclocker™© SG

For RAM, i doubt it cost only $50. A kingston ram already cost $54. Corsair can't be cheaper than Kingston.

But yeah. Those should be all. And your PSU CM GX650 should cost around $135. Btw where did you get the price for your MOBO from? The price for your MOBO is $310. You should get the Asus P8P67-M PRO B3 instead. It's much cheaper. With the CPU, it should cost around $572.

All my prices are taken from here http://www.tradepac.com.sg/pricelist250511.pdf.

thesinz SG

which ram is better kingston or corsair?

sorry corsair vengeance ddr3 1600 cl9 1x4gb is $99 i think i would be getting 2x4gb @$195

so for MOBO better to get p8p67PRO B3 whats the different between the one you mention and the one i mention?

what u ment is MOBO + processor is $572 right?

sorry for being a noob and keep asking some silly question

thesinz SG

Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600 CL9 (2X4Gb) 8GB @$229 ??price diff so much?

btw source : http://www.bellsystems.com.sg/UploadedImg/Pricelist%206%20MAY.pdf

thesinz SG

FOUND IT asus p8p67 pro b3 + i5-2500k $523

There's no real significance between the 2 MOBOs.

As for RAM, no difference also unless you are going to overclock it. If you are going to use it as it is, just get the Kingston one.

thesinz SG

you mean no difference between 4 or 8gb of ram?

No difference between the frequency of the RAM. Kingston's one is 1333MHz and the Corsair's one is 1600MHz. If you're using it as it is, then it makes no difference. No point spend extra over something that's not of use to you.

thesinz SG

so more ram dont really mean better? i think some games need certain amount of ram

Nope.Only the capacity matters. 4GB is actually more than enough for current games even for Crysis 2.

thesinz SG

wa that game famous for being very demanding i heard my friend say this game need a very good spec computer to run it "smoothly" his computer not bad but still cant run at max resolution
