I wanted to see TV in my room, free to air channels.
I moved my box TV from my living room and into my room. THere
are only 2 wires. One TV cable wire and power wire. So i plugged
the TV cable wire into my room HDB TV point.The TV point got put TV
and FM. I tried both and they dun work.
There was no clear image at all. In fact, the image was better
when i let the cable be loosely held against the TV point hole than
when i fully inserted it and tightened them.
Anyway, the best that can be shown is channel 8 which has some
color but the screen is filled with grainy layer. I tried it
with in my father room, which has the SCV TV point which they did
it when they installed SCV last time, and it works perfectly fine
when i just plugged in the wires.
I also tried abit of auto programming but it does not seem to be
the cause of the problem. My room TV point has not have the SCV
modified thing. It is the normal HDB TV point, but i theorized that
this should work just fine and is not the problem.
What are the possible solutions. I hope not to spend too much to
solve this thing. I just want to watch free to air channels in the
comfort of my room.
Change wire? I dun think is the problem.
My room wire's got problem? I suspect cos my internet phone line
got a technician guy told me my room line got some problem few
months ago. But this is TV issue so i think maybe they are not
related.
The cost of asking someone to fix if it due to line problem. I
am afraid it will be too costly. but is this the root of the
problem?
What are the other causes and solutions too? thanks.
