About AT&T I think Verizon has been pretty successful in
getting people to believe AT&T's network is much worse than
their own, but I really don't see it myself. I have an
AT&T Iphone and my wife has a Verizon Android (HTC Incredible)
and the network coverage seems just about the same to me.
I've had an AT&T phone since 2001. Back in 2001, I was
giving up something in terms of network coverage just so that I
would have a gsm phone that I could use when I travel, but now in
my opinion the network coverage is just as good as Verizon.
I've heard that AT&T's data network is overwhelmed in New York
and San Francisco, but in Boston it seems fine. Although
I am thinking of switching to Verizon next year because they are
rolling out their 4G network starting in Boston. I've heard
that download speeds will be nearly 10Mbps. I'm also sick of
Steve Jobs and his Iphone. Too many people have them now
and Apple is too controlling of what I can do
with my phone.
Back in 2001 the coverage in Singapore was a million times
better now it's still better, but not by that much.
