Shoes are more important than balls. You use them all the time when you bowl, they are the base on which your foundation is built (literally AND figuratively), and a good pair allows you to configure it to meet the challenges that different approaches offer.

The two main ways bowling shoes affect ones game:

- the slide
- the push-away step

Slide

The smoother your slide the smoother your release. And the more consistant it is, the same goes for your release. Good shoes does this for a bowler. This is especially so if one is a smooth heavy ball bowler or a spinner, because their power comes directly from the effective transfer of body weight and momentum.

Push-away

Proper shoes have a rough surface on the non-sliding foot to enable bowlers to propel their body with force towards their target. This is how power is created.

I encourage getting good shoes as soon as possible. If you have to play with a houseball while wearing personal shoes, so be it. The bad habits picked up from wearing lesser shoes are far more difficult to correct later than those enculcated from a poor ball.

It seems like I need a new pair of shoes before a ball. Somehow I just cant get the grip on the last step to push off. Sad

i suppose most proshops should carry linds cleats for sale.
if they dont, u have to find out which proshop sell Linds shoes, and i suppose those have.

Hmmmm then i rather dump the shoes and get a Dexter SST6 Mr. Green

I think the pro-shop at kim-seng( the one IN the alley) should have one set. Don't know of anywhere else.

I think the best traction shoe for that power step push into the last step would be a dexter's SST4 and above. Linds and ABS have no fight. ABS however is the most interchangeable, adaptable, versatile and of course most expensive shoe around at the moment. There is a Korean-made Hammer shoe which has all the features of an SST6 , except its almost half the price. So once again, this is erm,...at Kim Seng....hehe, if anyone is interested, let me know, I work there you see......
