Desktop for gaming purpose

Hi guys,

I am newbie here and have some questions to ask. Well, I am thinking for changing my desktop cos it has been quite some time already.

Currently, my computer specs is as follow:

Mainboard: AsusTek Computer (P5B-E Plus)

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 6300 @1.86Ghz

Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 7300 GT

Memory: DDR2 1 Gb

I am getting a new one for gaming purposes. I play mainly falcon 4 allied force and IL2.

I would like to get a decent desktop that can last me for the next 5 to 6 yrs. Is it better to get those ready available computers or a DIY computers? I am very skeptical but getting a computer @ Sim Lim Square. Does anyone knows which are the better and honest shops over there?

Technology keeps changing, i doubt any can really last that long if you keep up with technology.

If your computer can satisfy your need, there is actually no need to change.
