ditzy SG it keeps prompting me to update but every time i did, it failed.it doesnt even explain the reason for the failure.what did i pay for? What is last date of your virus signatures? Maybe its updated already, hence it failed.

^Acid^ aka s|aO^eH~ SG Well, my NOD32 doesn't let me update if it detects the signatures are up to date. hmmm... maybe I'll try when I get back home...I'm using NOD32 also...
dragg SG What is last date of your virus signatures? Maybe its updated already, hence it failed.if so, why does it still ask me to update?
ditzy SG if so, why does it still ask me to update? Seriously I have no idea, if i come across a system running norton antivirus, first thing I do is shut it down, second thing is to uninstall it.
bl1995cy SG I recommend kaspersky internet security. its very thorough and detects, i would say all the viruses. use it on my netbook and it doesnt slow it down much.
likeyou SG I cancelled my norton, makes a pc start up very slow. Now using free online avg and malware and spybot. But wonder wether it can detect any new virus or not.:(
TTFU SG Norton..... slows your com, fanciful update screen. Ability to remove virus = mediocreTry nod32, light weight antivirus Any comments on Kapersky, avast, avira ?
Raraken SG I'd go for Avast Home Edition. It's very lightweight, but pretty good. Use in tandem with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and a good firewall program.
TIB1051D SG I'd go for Avast Home Edition. It's very lightweight, but pretty good. Use in tandem with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and a good firewall program.Avast is good. I'm using it too, after i got fed up with AVG...
kenn3th SG I use windows security essentials with Malware-Bytes Cheap, not really heavy on resources and dare to say so far, effective.Far better than it's predecessor, the Windows live one care (Which has a paid subscription)
charlize SG Sometimes I wonder if we are being taken for a ride by these anti virus companies with their paid subscriptions.
