RPM and CFM of the fans were not announced by CM, except that they are 140mm/120mm RED LED fans.

Whatever it is, if you're worried about cooling performance just get some AVC fans.

I prefer the F1225. Spins at 2900rpm +/-10% (Mine's @ 3000). The DS12025 seems a bit too power hungry for teh small increase in airflow.

The top 140mm output fan seems very slow, i hardly feel any wind.

Cooling performance wise, my overall system seem to be unable to remove heat quickly enough if the temperatue suddenly shoots up say when using intel burn test.

I did add an additional CM red fan 42cfm to the side for cooling my graphics card and its doing a good job.(though its only 5750 but idle and load temps dropped alot.)

Voltage is the same @ 12V. For me, amperage does matter. For CPU fans I will always use the highest amperage fan I have that I can plug into the header. I have multiple intake fans so that doesn't really matter.

What's the static pressure? Me wants static pressure for CPU cooler and HDD cooler (The 4-3in 3 adapter plan I was talking about XD)

No idea. AVC themselves don't even have info with this fan, as with many other older AVC fans.

That includes those F1225's (they are so old they use the old AVC logo), an 80mm AVC I have, and my entire fleet of random 92mm AVC's.

Static pressure isn't as good as something with stator blades (duh!) but I think it's slightly stronger than the F1225's. Given that the DS has a very large blade surface area compared to the F1225, and both are 7-bladed fans, the static pressure should be a bit more for the DS.

Oh yeah, the temperature will shoot up very fast. It happens with all CPUs when you give them the IBT treatment. It's perfectly normal. What cooler you using again? Might be the problem of cooler.

Ah. The Hyper212+ is one of the best bang-for-the-buck coolers out there. Hope you applied just enough thermal paste, because too much thermal paste is bad. And a few degrees is enough to prevent further overclocking. I'm stuck @ 3.85GHz because I don't have enough cooling (yet). Need to get more intakes before I can push it further.

Yeah I was rushing for time and slapped together the whole system on a mahjong table (with mahjong tiles on it for good measure).

I accidentally the thermal paste.

Like, y'know. Saw it was grey, thought it was ShinEtsu, and just hit the plunger real hard. LOL.

Anyway, yeah, it netted a 31.5 celsius idle temp on that X2, and that's with the fan at 50% :D
