Clean install of OS and other programs

I am thinking of formatting my HDD due to the problems I have been encountering (described in my other thread) and reinstalling everything back. It's yet to be solved after these many days.

My question is if I do a clean install of my original OS and other programs involving subscription (eg anti-virus programs), will it be activated since it would be considered as using the same product activation number at the manufacturer's database? Is there a way around this?

It will not be activated until you activate it.

Another issue - I suspect that you may be facing a hardware failure. If re-installing doesn't help, would be good to bring it for a checkup. If still within warranty period, you can replace the hardware for free.
