may i know around how much is it to replace a new laptop fan? mine now is making screeching noise.

This requires quite a bit of know how. You can get the blower fans easily enough, the're about $20 IIRC. The hard part is opening the laptop to get to the fan.

Where to get the fan? From I heard, laptop fan got certain model type. Is it true? I also got this problem also =(

I have never encountered such problems before but i believe it may not be that easir to just buy one off the shelves and replace the assembled cooling fans on your laptop since different models the unit is located at different locations of the mobile computer. If your unit's still under warranty maybe you can try to contact the manufacturer and see if they can help you rectify the problem. It may be a small problem and even though sometimes out of warranty the cost may not too high to replace or correct the problem.

If the noise is not making a big issue you can just buy external cooling fan units for laptops. Some plugs to a separate ac outlet while most just drawings power from any usb ports i think.

The fans in the laptops are usually blower-style fans connected to a heatpipe assembly. It's not easy to find one that fits reasonably well though.

My MacBook is DAMN HOT now...

The inbuilt temp controller saying it is 86 deg C.

Am having a laptop cooler fan(operated by USB) under my MacBook 13".

Freagging hot, and it seems the cooler fan isn't working. The MacBook doesn't seem to have any air vents for cool air to be sucked in, only seems to have a hot air vent where hot air comes out, below the screen.

When I buy laptop cooler pad, I prefer AC-powered type, because I don't like connect so many things to my laptop.
