Hey guys, I just bought some DVD-R to backup my files. To my horror, when I insert the DVD into my disc drive, it shows 0 bytes free and I am unable to copy my files to the disc.

Anyone knows what is going wrong? Is my DVD drive incompatible with the DVD-R? How should I check if it is?

Make sure your reader can read DVD-R format.

if i'm not wrong, there is a difference between the DVD+R format and the DVD-R format. some can accept only the +, some can accept both + & -. gotta see wad ur DVD drive supports.
