Prefably less than 1000. Excluding Monitor, PSU and OS. (Do
state the maximum possible for 500W PSU as well, thank you very
much). I will need a minimum of DVD dual layer writer and 1TB HDD
(Since everything is new).
By the way, if there is no PSU constraint, just only budget
wise, should one get 1 high end GPU card or Dual Mid range
cards?
1 High End. Dual mid range cards will consume more power, and
require a more expensive mobo. Also, problems with things like
micro-stuttering.

If you want, downgrade the card to a HD5770. That only costs about
