USB external casing for DVD?

Hello guys,

Lately I have my desktop DVD Rewritable detached from my old desktop due to an unfortunate electric circuit mini explosion. I hope my DVD is still workable.

Can I run a check with the IT professionals or any kind person here whether is there any USB external casing for my dvd available on the market or do I have to get a completely new USB external DVD burner? If there is, how much is the typical price range for one? And where can I shop in Singapore? Thanks.

If the victim of the explosion is an internal DVD RW, and is using either IDE or SATA connections, then quite a few 5 1/4" external enclosures you could use.
