TV tuner

i am thinking of buying a USB plug-in TV tuner, but dunno which brand to go for and nor whether to go for analouge,digital or hybrid(both got).

my laptop is IBM thinkpad T42, so is it suitable for having TV tuner plugged in?

and what are the things to take note when buying TV tuners?

There are two types of usb plug in TV tuners.

One type is just plug in USB TV tuner and it receives TV signal from the air. This type is very bad and the TV pictures are very fuzzy.

Another type is plug in USB TV tuner and need to connect the TV antenna cable from the wall to the other end of the USB TV tuner. The TV picture is much better.
