i just changed a new hard disk yesterday.. so had to reinstall utorrent den setup all the settings again.. eg, max_halfopen, static ip, port forwarding etc.. & it was working well last nite.. green tick for my utorrent when i downloaded stuff..

but this afternoon.. when i wanted to do a new download.. suddenly gimme red exclaimation.. tell me no port open or firewall block.. so i closed my zonealarm firewall as well.. but still cant.. was working fine last nite wad.. any1 noes wad maybe the problem??

Your router configured? Sometimes it's due to router error or problem, not necessarily your settings.

Did you add the exception in Windows Firewall?

Or your ZoneAlarm firewall didnt shut down fully?(I dont use ZAF; but maybe you can check it out?)

yup, added the exception in Windows Firewall.. but i nvr turn on the Windows Firewall anywayz..

& yesh, i did shut down my ZA Firewall totally.. i even tried uninstalling it as some1 suggested over @ utorrent Forums.. still didnt work.. it has worked fine b4 with my ZA Firewall on b4 oso.. so idk leh..

am trying to upgrade firmware of my router now.. see how it goes.. better work (will die if i cant get to use utorrent =\ )

Power cycle your modem and router and your computer.

It should fix the problem if you say everything was working fine last night.

Probably your modem / router / computer dns got locked up?

yea i did that already.. after looking tru utorrent FAQ.. i upgraded my linksys router firmware using DD-WRT..

THE problem i'm hafing now though is.. my utorrent's getting green lights BUT when i do the test given.. it gimmes a red light on the web test..

& Sgforum King, yesh i port-forwarded already.. done it a 1000 times b4 i got this problem recently.. so i noe wad i'm doing..

But can you achieve satisfactory download rates? If you PF already, no need DMZ cause DMZ allows everything through all ports. Bad.

I NEED HELP! I'm a newbie la~

I use utorrent 1.8.3 to download la~ then can download immediately after I add torrent... That was last time~ & download was real Fast~

Then weeks ago, I was recommended to upgrade to 1.8.4... But after I upgrade le, the download started to slow then now shows the infinity sign at ETA eventually~

Now I add any new torrent file to download, it does not even download at all... What happen ha?

Can any kind souls help out with this... Thanks~~~

Average speed is around 300~600kB/s

I downloaded MapleSEA in 2 hours.

You can also look through YouTube to configure the new µTorrent 1.8.5 .

Now lowest speed is only about 260kB/s

Right click on your downloading torrent and set bandwidth allocation to high.

Download limit ~ Unlimited

Upload limit ~ 10kB/s

After you are done and wants to upload

Download limit ~ 60kB/s

Upload limit ~ Unlimited

If you are downloading something, pause or stop the other uploading torrents.

Using Forced Download is very useful to see that it is not queued for download.
