My gawd.
First time this happened. We have 12 members, but on Thursday we
struggled to get even 3 to play. 9 players couldn't make it for
various reasons, and some, were spectacular reasons!
We're lucky to have Jae and Ding, the 2 "ever-readies" in our
squad.
In the end, I barely made it back to Katong on time, thanks to
Ding, and bowled for the first time in long sleeve shirt and
pants!
Hah. Dun play play. Even with just 3 bowlers we managed to get 8
out of 20 points, having virtually thrown away 4 individual points
and 4 team points. In fact, we managed to win 1 team game with just
3 people! Cool wot?????
But I hope this does not happen again, though.
Next week we face power opponents Swee Seng, I'm pulling out the
stops. Let's see if we can stun them somewhat. Sorry Phua, I can't
offer you a slot in the team, but if any of us can't play, I'll
inform you as early as I can, ok?
I'm utilising Jay Soong, Weixiang, Mage and myself to face the
inhuman bunch of spinners. Wish us luck
