Mac Hardware and Software upgrade queries

Hi, I own a Macbook 13" inch bought in the beginning of this year. I do not have Windows on my Mac but I was thinking about getting Linux. How do I do this? I would also want to upgrade from my current Mac OS X 10.5.8 to the new Mac Snow Leopard OS. Is this feasible?

Is there any other applets which I can download for my Mac which might be beneficial?

Also I was wondering whether you people have any suggestions to "decorate" my MacBk.

Some say upgrade to Snow Leopard, but some say not worth the money. This, is up to you.

Installing Linux would be best done as a virtual system, as doing a native install can have multiple quirks with booting, HW issues etc. I would suggest checking out Paralells for Mac and VMWare Fusion.
