I got a N97 a month ago, and it is terribly lousy . . . even
after the new version update which boast that most problems were
fixed.
In fact by updating the softwares version, it actually eats up
the phone memory space the C: drive.
to summarise, the problems are:
1. Very laggy
2. poor transition while scrolling up or down and next page
3. Camera occasionally gets error which would require u to
restart
4. Photos captured with camera often wont turn up at the photos
catergory
5. If u add new songs or ringtones, you wont be able to find
them when setting ringtones or message tones unless u restart
the phone
6. Web browser is slow, and crashes after some time
using
To be honest even with the many function it has, but with
a puny ram, they definitely wont run smoothly.
And the Nokia 5800 XM is way better, it ain't laggy
and the transitions are way better.
So do consider if you are planning on getting one
