overclocking temperature

recently i have tried overclocking my processor, but am unsure of the temperature limit to my cpu. can someone kindly advise. thx.

45-65 degrees optimal. Try not to go above 70 degrees

Idle temperatures should be around 50C max. Any higher for your idle temps and your CPU is too hot.

my normal temperature is around 35. however, when overclocked by 15%, it increases to 45. so this is ok? anyway, whats the diff between mobo and cpu temp?

Well my laptop averages at around 40-45 degrees and my desktop is around 45.

Just remember not to go over 50-60. Or you can always go to your bios and set a warning temp in which the computer will shut down after a certain temperature.

Alternatively you can leave the casing open for better ventilation. CPU is the chipset in your mobo. It's similar to the concept of your car interior being really hot, and the engine as well.
