lanes breaking down is the bane of all the bigger hook players
around. there is no one true method to correct all that, and pple
tend to use the following
1) shift lines.
2) change ball
3) change release
4) stop bowling go home, pray for better lanes next time.
1) versatility in lines must be there. u like to play deep in?
better learn how to handle sending the ball down as well. to like
to point ur shot towards the pocket? sending out the ball may save
u one day.
2) change of ball whenever lanes dry up, breakdown, watever. u knwo
ur balls best and u know wat they can do. but u also better have a
good knowledge of the lane conditions aka, lane reading.
3)cupping to much? flicking too much? Lanes too dry for that?
simple, use a break wrists release. lanes too oily? ball skids into
the pocket? slow down the ball speed ( backswing, slower steps blah
blah)
4) take out ur car keys, do ur usual routinue, get into bed, hope u
have someone beside u to hug. cry ur eyes out about the unfairness
of the world, wakeup red eyed, and prepare to cry every week. ur
gal might leave u though after awhile, to find someone wif more
backbone.
thats it. all i can tink of in my weakened SARS condition.
