Hi,

Yesterday I've disk defragmented my thumbdrive -.-
I just found out that it packed all my music into 2 files.

I cant open it and when I click internet explorer to open the file to see what program is suitable to open it, there is none.

What should I do?
Now my musics are all gone and I want it back. ):

Some questions...

1. Any programs running while defragmenting?

2. Did you safely remove the thumbdrive?

3. Windows version?

Apple. SG

uhm..

1. Yup, I was listening to my music and using Mozilla Firefox.

2. I did not remove it since yesterday. But I'll safetly remove the thumbdrive if I did.

3. Window XP Service Pack 3

Listening music from your thumbdrive?

Apple. SG

Yup.

Chances of your files going corrupted are quite high.

Windows Vista and below have very little tolerance of defragmenting in-use files, and if they do, chances of it getting corrupted is high.

I'm not too sure if you can recover it.

Apple. SG

Oh ok. Thanks anyway.

If any one knows how can I restore my music please help?

Oh ok. Thanks anyway.

If any one knows how can I restore my music please help?

did you back up your music into your PC or any other storage devices ?

If not , i think you'll have to re download them .

If yes , you can transfer them into your thumbdrive .

caleb_chiang SG

re extract them from your music cds or download lor... it is less hassle free than to restore the data.

Apple. SG

There's about 400+ songs if I want to download =\
I transferred those songs that are in my phone into my thumb drive.
Better than nothing. Haha

Anyway, thanks (:
