Okay, gaming laptops not much at 1k. 1.2, have lah, but if still
cannot squeeze out the extra cash, go for the gaming netbook: The
Asus N10Jc. About $800-$900? Pretty good for a netbook.
Or If you can squeeze the extra cash, go for an Acer Aspire
Gemstone series laptop, and by Gemstone I mean those that end in G,
like 4935G, 4937G etc. Acer
has been pretty good for me.
My guidelines for a decent budget gaming laptop:
At least 2.4GHz, dual-core (Faster, the better)
2GB DDR2 RAM (The more the better)
A discrete GPU (NVidia 9300M GS and above, G102M and above, ATi
Radeon 3470 and above, 4350 and above). Don't buy if it says Intel
Graphics. (The higher the number, the more likely that it is better
XD) S3 Chrome graphics, it depends
HDD space, not that important, but get the 5400RPM and
above.
A nice, fat screen, 14' and above (Personal preferences
apply)
Oh, and if you find a laptop that fits what you want, post it
here.
