At present I am working on a website. I am pondering how's best
to at least collect some monies to offset the web host charges.
Here's about my site:
a. Having google map pre-loaded with all amenities/services
information.
b. Public can add comments on any business listings.e. Like
gothere.sg, they can search something like whores at Geylang,
chillies crabs at East Coast ...
c. Members can add property listings for rental/sales. Like
streetsine.sg, they can add properties listings for
rental/sales...
d. Members can add business listings like yellow pages.
e. Public can locate on Google Map by postal code, businesses,
project name...
f. Webhosting charges expected to be in the range like
50USD / month.
g. I wondering how best I can collect some monies at least to
offset that 50USD/month overheads.
h. I am choosing between a membership
subscription model and advertising revenue
model.
i. Seriously will someone pay to put up a listing?
j. If I choose advertising revenue model, how much I
can probably collected from there?
k. If I put up a donation button, what could be the chances
someone will indeed donate some monies?
l. I would like to put up my url, however it still
under development, I shall up up the link once I had completed
Alpha testing. The site will be something between gothere.sg
(without the route suggestion) and streetsine.sg (without the
sms)
