Technically, yes. However, some are not so easy to solve.
Another thing. If you get file infectors (Virut, Sality, etc) ,
backing up your files, especially .EXE files are not recommended.
They are not called file infectors for nothing.
PWNED32 also has another valid point, but that's easy to
solve.
