Buying a mac is not just buying the hardware, it's about the
software, the operating system to be exact.
By comparing between a sony and an apple laptop, it's clear that
you are just looking at laptops based on design.
Are you currently a mac user or a windows user?
If you are a windows user, are you willing to switch over to OS
X? If you can't, there is no point getting a Macbook to run
windows. You should be getting a windows laptop, which is so much
cheaper than buying any mac.
