Hi all,

I'm looking to apply for a diploma course / advanced diploma course that teaches web programming and some eCommerce (not really IT).

Are there such courses? Btw, I'm 25 yrs now and is now admin asst but really want to upgrade myself (admin asst really no future :s8:).

I've some C++ and basic Windows programming background in the past (long time ago).

I'm thinking of looking at Singapore or Ngee Ann poly (do they conduct night classes for adults?)

Those private schools like MDIS and Informatics (bad reputation, I heard) are on the back of my mind for now.

thanks guys! i've seen the SP links above, but it seems they're conducting the courses online only, which i'm trying to avoid (cos' i've no self-discipline and need to be in a real physical class to prevent my mind from dozing off).

Ok, I think I've decided on this course here, since the modules seems to be more geared towards web programming compared to other similar IT diplomas offered by other institutes:

If anyone has studied at Informatics before, pls give your views.
On the website, it says that:

Diploma in Information Technology
[B]Awarded by Informatics Academy and Validated by NCC Education (UK)[/B]

I wonder this sort of cert is recognized by local companies here, since it's awarded by Informatics and just Validated by NCC Education (btw, I never even heard of NCC).

thanks latecomner, but i'm not very interested in mobile comm and Temasek is really too far. :-D

anyway, i've decided to choose the PSB Academy course since the school reputation is good and modules are balanced.

however, the course structure is very siong leh......duration is about 1 year 8 months, and is 3 days per week (they let u choose any 3 days to attend class, including Sat and Sun).

last time i study MDIS diploma is only 2 days per week and quite siong already.

anyone got experience this before? now working full time and when i think after work must go study 3 hours till 10 PM, go home already near 11 PM, i really chui.

^ i is guy, but to be honest, i really don't quite like corporate life.

if i've a choice, i don't even want to be in office. it really sux.

yes, got hot OL to ogle half the time, but if i wanna ogle OL, i can always see porn and wank myself.

i just want to survive can already; don't want to climb corporate ladder.

the higher you climb, the more corporatised life becomes.

to be honest, i cannot stand those "exec" looking type of people, like those girls wearing business suits carrying briefcase like some ****ing yuppie, or that typical SG guy with armani hairstyle in long-sleeve shirt and pants carrying briefcase as if he just made S$4 million for his company. Always wanna beat the **** out of these people.

i prefer simple peaceful life.
