I once saw a proton wira with the "Proton" and "Wira" name badges still intact on the car, and right in the middle between them was the Mitsubishi car badge, and on the car's windows I think it was... was it Subaru or some other car decal... talk about split personality. Razz

Lotus's marque has already been tarnished.

The reason why Proton has this compulsive need to overuse the Lotus name is as follows:

If some half assed driver were to drive his proton at high speeds, as he should not, and the car flies off the road, as it should, Proton will be able to turn around and say, "the acquisition of Lotus's engineering has taught us that light is better; it is unfortunate that this has happened but we have merely applied the intellectual property developed by Lotus"
