Affordable, durable Laptop model?

Guys, please help..I'm a Uni student with rather troubled wallet, trying to get an affordable Laptop. What kind of brand is durable, and what kind of brand is not?

I've been recommanded Lenovo S-10 netbook(joybook?) but how good is it ? Anyone here using it ?

Also is it true that compaq gets admitted into factory alot ?

my suggestion- get a 2nd hand (not too old) or a brand new one that people are selling online. cheaper and better.

Go for a 2nd hand fujitsu. - good and reliable.

Ignore any HP pavilion series laptops, overheating issues. Certain compaqs have these problems

ultimately, it depends on how you use your laptop and how you handle it.
