usually it's at the hand rest ie. area next to the touch
pad.that's the only part where there's any contact. It seems quite
common. Nowadays I just lift my palms up 'coz the shock is really
like pinpricks. If it was really static electricity, I think the
notebook would have fried a long time ago.
