my os is xp sp2, am i virus attacked,how to solve this irriate problem?

the wallpaper keep on appearing alone every 2 sec without the folder in the background showing up,even the task bar does not appear when the wallpaper is appearing.

might be due to a virus. in this type of situation, explorer.exe is not responding and will restart by itself. run a virus scan to scan for any virus. did you try to restart ur system when it occurs by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete?

try booting in safe mode, then run an antivirus scan, preferbly with software like AVG. its free, and it works.

Run an anti-virus such as AVG and identify the problem whether it is cause by virus or some bad ware...then try checking process running whether got any weird process running.....
