internet suddenly dc

hello i was using the internet on my lappie, and it was connected to the internet through the ethernet cable.

den suddenly i got dc and my lappie says the network cable was unplugged.

i restarted my lappie, and plug the cable again but still cannot leh.

is this a problem with my lappie or is it the network point in my room i.e where u're supposed to plug ur cable into?

If you got a spare cable, try that first.

could be your laptop, the network point, network equipment (router/modem?), and even your network cable.

i living in a hostel and this is the only com and cable i have..

any other ways to find out the problem?

and hor, can i safely assume that this is not related to the network in my hostel, just my lappie hardware?

Have U found out if the rest of the hostel still having internet access?

go next door and borrow one ethernet cable from them and try in ur room...if it works...then ur ethernet cable is spoilt...if it doesnt work...then return the cable and test ur laptop from their room...if it works...then call the hostel people for repair...if it doesnt...call ur laptop's hotline...maybe ur ethernet card/driver got problem.

get ur roommate to test his/her cable on ur port...

i borrowed a cable, same thing leh meaning my cable should be fine

den i borrowed his laptop, still got the unplugged message

den i connected his lappie and mine using the cable

both got try to find ip addy, which means the network cards are working

so gotta be the wallport le lo

right?

May I know who is providing the internet service? Maybe you can consider bring this matter up to the person incharge. There might be some problem with the switches or router to your room.

ok i got a call from the internet helpdesk

i is kena blocked by the server.

i think it's because of xunlei la.
