from my experience if you are buying from school..
lenovo is good for you if you are those careless type
anyhow bump here bump there step over it or drop from height that
kind
but lenovo is also good for.. blue screens 
fujitsu's 'system' overall more stable, less cocked ups. but not
as tough as thinkpad
one of my friend's monitor lid got detached in a minor
accident.
and of course i guess most schools will have acer..
they are good for blue, black, red, whatever screens, lousy specs
(compared to other brands at the school's fair), the ugly look of
their laptops.but acer has better sound system and is made quite
affordable with their low prices.
IMHO lenovo laptops sound system nth much to shout about but
IMHO its really better than the acer one...
