LatecomerX SG Probably because the CD lens inside your drive is damaged. Sounds like it's time to change your drive for a new one. How old is it anyway?
playmemory SG I recalled that some brands of DVD ROM or CD ROM cannot read copy protected audio CD. The only way is to change to another DVD or CD ROM reader.

nenepokey SG my dvd rom used to be able to rip tracks from original cds... now it cantu go to 'My Computer' (Win XP) or 'Computer' (Vista), see whether got the DVD drive appearing on the screen. if did not appear, the maybe same problem as me. the device cannot start.
