Memory card problem

I recently lent my digital camera to my sister.

But upon returning to me,when i plug the XD card into my card reader,avast prompt that there is a virus.I deleted the file.but when i open it,notice there is a flashy folder there.

May i know what folder is it?My DCIM folder is missing and only a flashy folder is left.

But when i check the memory capacity,there is still 500mb used.How can i retrieve my photos?

Flashy folder? Any screenshot to show? Try accessing the folder by entering the path in the Address Bar (eg. "F:\DCIM"). If it does not exist, the folder is probably deleted already. In this case, you may want to try PhotoRec to recover the deleted files.

Regarding the "500 MB used" info, it could be redundant files created by the virus stored in the XD card which are hidden away from view. The easiest way to remove such crap is to copy whatever files you need out and perform a reformat on the card.
