oh and on the desktop bar there got a update icon..it wants me
to update to sp3,im not sure whether to do it or not. Heard its not

You can use Memtest86+ (A better ram test tool)
from http://www.memtest.org/
It's an iso file, so you would have to burn it on to a cd and run
it via there. I know that there are other programmes to run iso(s)
without burning them, but it's best not, judging from the
circumstances.
