BrUtUs SG scan ur disk 1st n maybe do a defrag...got update ur copy of norton daily? or ur norton is pirated? when the problem started?

kenn3th SG I dont think it is a defrag problem.Sometimes it might slow down due to the programmes you useor it is slowly scanning that sector, taking quite a long time
ndmmxiaomayi SG Do you have any big files on the hard disk? Or any big folders? Like you stall all your music files in one folder.If so, Norton might choke on it.Also, clear your temporary files and cache. Scanners always stuck there for a very long time.

ndmmxiaomayi SG Does it work in Safe Mode?Have you tried online scanners? If online scanners are stuck at a particular area, it's not just Norton.
