Need help with writing files to disc

Hi all

i want to delete a file from a TDK CD-R80 audio disc .. as in wipe the whole disc completly clean and to put in a MP3 file to use for band CD.

however there is only 2.16 mb left on the CD .. and the file needs 8.15mb..

how is it possible to delete everything from the disc

i tried deleting it by opening the file and click delete, Yes to all but it says files on this disc are read only

You can't, since it's a CD-R (write-once only). Get a CD-RW the next time if you know you will be re-using (deleting and putting in new files) it in the future.

i used the Philips DVD+RW to try write

and then the CD drive D couldnt read it.. diao..

it states there is no disk despite the DVD+RW already in there

the drive is DVD supported
