I have been using open office for quite some time and realize that the features between ms office and open office is really so identical.
The only flaw that I found in openoffice is that the writer (ms word eq) has different formatting and alignment than the ms word. Meaning if you send a openoffice writer document to your boss or client that use ms word to open, the alignment will go hairwire.
Anyone of you encounter this problem and is there any solution to this?

Yeah, same problem. In the end, I just use Writer to do the document and then before I send to anyone else, I use Word Viewer to check first.

You could also try Google Docs. Haven't really used it that much so not sure if you will have the same problem there.

There is also Microsoft Works SE (Sponsored Edition) in the future.
