i came home and my modem got no signal 怎么办？？？

it is trying to connect i can hear the click click sound but it can't
connect

is your singnet server having problem too???
or issit my modem???
why???

If not, switch it off, then turn it back on about 10 minutes later.

i nvr hv a speedtouch modem.

just now i switched off and on again right away.

i'll turn it off for 10 min now and see.

now the green light on the modem that went click click click just now has become a red light

and i called the singnet tech support
i waited and waited and then they cut me off after a long wait
then i called again
the message says sorry we are unable to connect you at the moment blah blah blah

normally got 3 greenlights

today only got 1, the power

just now i said it's red

now back to green and click click click again

Can you check that your power socket is working fine. Try other power sockets to be sure. Will need to wait another 10 minutes before turning it on again.

If still cannot, turn it off ba. Let it rest a few hours. If tomorrow it still doesn't work, then contact vendor ba.

Sometimes these devices will go emo for one day. I give them one off day, then they 乖乖 start working.

Bring your modem to your neighbour's house to determine if your modem is fried.

If modem not fried, then maybe your line has problems.

you know what happened?

i was packing my modem to bring it down to the vendor, i saw the adapter sitting prettily in the box with the plastic wrapper still unopened.
that means the installer only installed the new modem for me when i recontracted my broadband, he used back my old adapter which is the same model.
So i took the new adapter and try, and viola!!!!!!!! the modem is working again!!!!
so it is the adapter problem.

so this saved me a trip down to the vendor
