There's a few reasons why XP could load so slow.
1. Files are too fragmented.
2. Lack of HDD space.
3. Spyware, viruses, etc.
4. Too many programs and services running on startup.
Kindly provide all details. The following are required:
a. Total amount of HDD space and amount of HDD space left. For
all partitions that you have.
b. Download and run this
file for me. It produces a list of programs that are running on
startup.
c. When was the last time you defragmented your hard disk?
