Errr... where to check my motherboard type ah? *found in my pc packaging box.

Details over here but i can't seem to find the max RAM i can add, also. Currently i have 2 sticks of 512MB and can i just add a 1GB stick straightaway? Have 4 slots btw.

Download CPU-Z (first page). Unzip it, run CPU-Z, select the motherboard tab. Post the screenshot back here.

Just tell the shopkeeper you want DDR2 RAM for your laptop. As for the max, I can't tell what motherboard is that from CPU-Z.

Another question here..I'm using a Dell Inspiron laptop with Intel Centrino Duo T2300 1.66GHz processor and 1GB RAM, and seems very slow recently..does the 'Disk Cleanup' utility under 'System Tools' really helps to make my computer faster? I did Defragmentation recently but doesn't seem to help much leh.. Confused

Moving files around during boot is dangerous. While one can assume Windows is smart enough, I wouldn't risk it.

If XP, it shouldn't be that slow. If Vista, upgrade the RAM.

How much disk space do you have and how much is left?
