ndmmxiaomayi SG I break most school policies. Nothing happen... in fact, for breaking them, I've probably survived 2 virus storms. I'm one of the few who went unaffected when the whole network was infected twice. As I've said... things done correctly should have no effect on you... obviously, most suck at that. Don't play taiji.
LatecomerX SG No offence on the LOL part. Just that I found the part about Firefox as a network hacking tool amusing. Maybe that guy should have skinned his Fx to look like a IE. And he's in Grade 11 already. Shouldn't he deserve a little freedom to choose a browser he wants to work in?
yuko-ogura SG haha..yea. if i were the kid's parent, im gonna complain to the principal straight abt its policy. as u said, theres nth wrong with using firefox la..why restrict others from using it? really, a modification of the policy should be made quick..or more grievances will pop up wor.
Shotgun SG OMG! You're more retro than me! I've never heard of Lynx! I remember Pacific Internet gave way Netscape Navigators with their dial up packages, then Singtel was giving internet explorer. Then there was Cyberway.com.sg, aka Starhub. Can't remember what they gave. I remember having a dial up account at every ISP! Ha! Firefox has its roots with netscape. Yep. Its becoming one heck of a popular browser too. The Add ons are just so useful... eg. firebug.

lpx88 SG I tot this 1 is prank? Recently, a file was uploaded to the Internet purporting to be a copy of a letter from Big Spring High School to a student regarding a two hour detention. The uploaded letter was an altered version of a detention letter sent to a student. Unfortunately, privacy concerns prevent the School District from giving a full explanation of the nature and source of the letter's alteration at this time. The Big Spring School District does have confirmation that the discipline letter was altered. The reports, blogs and other sources on the Internet indicating that a Big Spring student was assigned detention for using the Firefox internet browser instead of Internet Explorer are untrue and were based on the fake letter. Detention is assigned in our schools after appropriate warnings are given, if students continue to engage in non-academic activities or fail to follow a teacher's directive during class time discipline can and will be assigned.
