Wat Balls do we use??

Mage^_^ SG

All of us knows that this is a bowling forum, no doubt most of us would be bowlers but how well, do we know each others equipment?? well, let's share!!! Very Happy

prataman SG

Hmm...... just 3 balls in use right now. The others are undrilled as of now.

1) Ebonite Clear Wolf for pins 6 and 10.

2) Ebonite Apex Adrenaline for longer oils and or heavier oils

3) Ebonite Vortex 2 Pearl for just about everything else.

Personally I have a preference for aggressive pearlised reactives. Unfortunately with my speed and tendency to circle the ball a lot (stuck stumb semi spinner hook) this makes playing on longer oil conditions a weakness of mine.

Ian SG

my Arsenal

1) Command Zone (old trusty, never fails to hook )
2) Sea Wolf ( got bitten by Tampines Safra lanes)
3) DangerZone (retired, now acting as a trophy)
4) Cuda (yes the original one)
5) Bobcat ( good on patchy lanes)
6) U Dot (unhookable? think again)

Reserves
7) Impact Zone ( crazy ball is more tempermental then me)
Cool Zone Sparkle (havent plugged yet)
9) Fuze ( havent plugged yet)

Regreted giving away
10) DangerZone 2 ( y was i so kind??? nuts...)

Yes i love Brunswick.

As we can see, Mr prata is sponsored by Ebonite.

For those who wants information on Ebonite's equipment or reviews on Ebonite balls, you know who to approach. Mr. Green

prataman SG

I WISH I was sponsored!!!!! Smile Wah then will be shiok ah!!!!!!!

Anyway, I said it before, and I will say it again, I'm also very impressed by equipment from Storm. Those undrilled ones I mentioned.....

chuanish SG

Currently using a Shadow (urethane) as strike ball, and a Blue Dot for picking up spares on the right half. These 2 guys are slightly below 15lb.

Before getting injured about 3 months back, i had 2 other options, a Classic Rock and a Chaos (for more bite... hits hard too). Damn i miss them, it's just different not using reactive and particle equipment.

Yes, my middle name is Columbia 300.

airgrinder SG

moi currently have 2
1) Tour Power by STORM, for everything except
taking pin 10s or certain splits where I want the ball to go to a certain location accurately, for that 2) Blue Dot, Columbia300. And althought the surface is very smooth, it hooks like a monster on last sunday nite at Classic. Cool

Mage^_^ SG

Wow... so many balls ah, Ian??!! really wonder why u need those balls u got from me..... kekeke... Wink Well, being a spinner my balls are of the older range coz spinner style dun really bother so much abt those stuff...

1) AMF Ninja Master (hits and carrys pins like a truck)

2)Ebonite Tomahawk X-plosion (Fave ball at the moment)

3)Ebonite Tomahawk Low-torque (needs to re-drill)

4)Storm Trauma-Er (currently at Bukit Panjang re-drill)

That's about all... Btw, any of u drill ur own balls?? I drill my own spiner balls, coz my grip, angle is diff from the other spinners in S'pore, something that i customize to my own style. Smile

Dun learn to bowl how other expect u 2. Learn and develop ur own style from good basics and absorb others strong points so that at the end of the day, u'll be better than all of them.... coz u'll have their strengths w/o their weakness... Wink

Actually, im stlll relatively a greenhorn bowler. Having only been into my 2nd year of serious bowling, I have YET to own any balls fresh from the factory. All are dunno how many hand balls. Mr. Green
Of 2 are courtesy of our ex 'proshop owner' Mr Prataman. Looks like his pool has dried up. Sad
Anyway, introducing my wives no.

1) Prostitute Columbia Black Rage (real typical hooker, cos has been screwed more than 10 times. bt who cares, it still produces strkes Cool )
used for medium to oily condtions
and also pin10 spares. bt wd have to play slight backup if the lanes are real dry to keep the ball goin straight. hoping to get a spare ball soon.

2) Messenger Ti (just in case you wonder why im named Ti [email protected])used to be used for most conditions.

3) Trauma ThunderRoad (most recent addtion to the family) yet to be drilled. collecting dust. Neutral

Mage.
ive been looking for a trauma er for quite some time. you are the closest person ive known to own one so far. bt dun think you wd be likely to sell it. its quite rare in spore huh?
anyway maybe on one fine day when you find it a nuisance and decide to get rid of it, feel free to let me know yah. Very Happy
btw how heavy is it?

Power Torq SG

Yeah....me same as [email protected], never own new balls b4...all 2nd hand but like he says, Who CARES?? Mr. Green By the way, I more newbie than [email protected], in fact I juz got my first Reactive ball on 27th June this year POWER TORQ and since then started hooking and serious bowling Cool

Mage^_^ SG

Weel, Titan, i suppose u are a hooker too... Razz
And yesh, the storm er is kinda rare and the only one i have is 11.6lbs, unless u wanna start learning how to spin?? Wink Wink Mr. Green

harmzuay SG

Titan

The Trauma ER is actually very popular because everyone at that time wanted the Trauma after hearing of its legendary status. But by then, only the ER was around, so most people bought it instead. Cool
Its just that it loses a lot of its colour when you condition it, so a lot of the time, it doesn't look like one.

My friend just bought a Track Freak... *drool* One of my dream balls... Rolling Eyes

Power Torq SG

hmmm. Track Freak....good reviews on it Very Happy I'm looking for one Track Ball Too Anyone seen it b4 in Singapore ? Its the TRACK ENFORCER Remake...its solid red in colour! Mr. Green

prataman SG

Heh! Harmy, thought you wanted a Core Power? Smile

prataman SG

Hey Titan,

Sorry for the "low stock"!!

Just hang around, I'm sure there'll be more.... let's just say I'm not known to hang on to a particular ball for a very long time.

Except for the Clear Wolf, of course. Idea

The Vortex 2 Pearl is looking to be a real keeper as well. The Adrenaline is getting to "unsettled" status, whilst the rest have already been shown the exit door.

Now for the newbies......

Ding SG

and now my turn, let me introduce my legendary WEAPON BLACK Shocked

Brief Intro
=========

Brought in 1997 Oct when I made my first foray into the bowling scene(SIM Bowling Club) Surprised It was already discontinued when I got it for around 200 dollars. It had served me faithfully for the past 5 years since......

Places of interests that WEAPON BLACK had been to... Jurong Superbowl, Hougang Superbowl, Marina South Superbowl, Marina Square Superbowl, Bukit Panjang Superbowl, Cathay Lot1(closed), Vision Bowl, queenstown bowl, Victors Bowl, Jackie's Bowl, Cathay Westside, Cathay Eastside, West Coast Bowl, Cathay Grassroot Club, SAFRA Tampines, SAFRA NSRCC Tanan Merah, OCC bowl, Planet Bowl, Kim Seng Bowl, Cathay Chevrons, Cathay Yishun, Cathay Cineleisure, TenPin/Silverbowl, Strikers Bowl, Changi Beach Club, Genting Bowl(overseas yeah Exclamation ), Leisure Mall(overseas yeah )......

The ball had taken some hard knocks over the years hence I've got a very important announcement to make........ probably gonna to retire my hard working ball pretty soon Cool scouting for an able replacement at the moment Wink

And thanks Prata for the recommendation for BIG HIT solid Exclamation

cheers Mr. Green

airgrinder SG
