hard copy to soft copy

Hi,

I have a painted artwork which I need to submit in a soft copy. I took a photo of it since I do not have a scanner. How do I convert it to PSD or Ai format?

hmm...why not just paste the picture onto word document or put directly into powerpoint?

If need to submit, then can convert the word docu with picture into pdf.

since it's already 1 layer, does it matter whether .psd or .ai?

u can just open it in photoshop then save as .psd
but it's not a real psd

You should scan the copy and save it in .png for lossless quality. If you want smaller filesize, then scan and save in .jpg @ 80-90 quality (Adobe Photoshop will be 8-10)

if PSD(adobe photoshop format) or Ai(Adobe illustrator), i tot ur artwork must be created in either photoshop or illustrator?

since it is a pic, like wad fifi said, it's onli a layer, so it does not really matter unless u want to add text

if want to convert, just open it in PS or Ai and save as the formats
