Ignorance SG i tried using the recovermyfiles software, but it couldnt recover those files that are overwritten. are there alternative and better softwares out there?

You want to recover, you pay. However, it can be bypassed. Open with another editor and save the files to your disk. Do for every file that you have. It's time consuming, but the only way to do it free. http://www.runtime.org/ Or Photorec. http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec I find this a bit hard to use, but is very useful if you can get the hang of it.
